Josh GatelySenior Vice President, Development

    Joshua Gately joined Portman Holdings in March of 2014. As Senior Vice President of Development, he is responsible for overseeing the development process, including entitlements and design, as well as sourcing new development opportunities across the country. His development experience extends to multiple asset classes, including Office, Hospitality and Multi-family ground up development. He has specifically played a key role in some of Portman’s most recent signature projects, including Coda at Tech Square and the historic renovation of the Kimpton Hotel in Atlanta. His current projects include 1020 Spring St, the Chapter Buildings in Seattle and a new mixed-use development in Austin, Texas. As a developer, Joshua has successfully completed over $895 million of new urban high-rise projects, including over 1.4 million SF of office and 1,400 hotel keys.

    Prior to joining Portman, Joshua was an REO analyst at Rialto Capital, a distressed real estate investment company, in Atlanta, GA. He holds a Masters in Real Estate from Georgia State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Georgia. Joshua is very involved in Urban Land Institute, and completed the Center for Leadership program in 2019. He is active in the community and serves on the board of the Midtown Alliance and a leadership board for NAIOP.
