Marina Square is 2.5 million square feet and contains an office building as well as three five-star hotels, all connected by a large retail spine.

The development of this mixed-use complex successfully converted an undeveloped landfill site into a prime waterfront destination for locals and tourists, providing a much needed stimulus to the local economy. Portman Holdings worked with a group of several Asian investors, including Singapore Land, Shing Kwan Investments, CY Paul, Lim Soe Long, United Overseas Bank and Overseas Union Bank, to finance this development, which opened in 1987.
