Don Coggia

Don has spent 25 years specializing in the development and construction of all types of multifamily projects which include rental, for-sale and student housing with a market value exceeding $2B. Prior to joining Portman, he served as Senior Vice President of Construction at South City Partners where he was responsible for developing and maintaining project design standards and specifications and ensuring they were maintained through the design and construction process as well as managing General Contractor procurement and management throughout the construction process.

Don began his career building multi-family properties at Beers/Skanska Construction and then Winter Construction. He then worked for 10 years at Trammell Crow Residential one of the largest multi-family developers in America. As VP of Construction at TCR Don was responsible for overseeing the construction of a wide variety of product types from garden apartments to luxury condominiums. Don earned a Master’s Degree in Construction Management and a BS in Finance from the University of Florida. He has also been a General Contractor Qualifying Agent in the States of Georgia and South Carolina.
