Dotan Zuckerman
Dotan is responsible for the retail programming, merchandising and leasing strategy of Portman’s new and existing developments. Zuckerman will specialize in activating the street level with a dynamic mix of national, regional and local business owners and operators to create vibrant and urban experiences that are thoughtfully catered to each community.
Dotan began his commercial real estate career in 2006 managing the Atlanta portfolios of Dewberry Capital, The Atlanta History Center, and Halpern Enterprises, among other clients. He soon joined North American Properties as the developer began their turnaround of Atlantic Station. There, Zuckerman led the leasing strategy for the destination property’s 1.3 million square feet of retail space. Dotan lead the pre-leasing efforts at the acclaimed Avalon development in Alpharetta, bringing the project to life with a 98 percent occupancy rate with an acclaimed mix of tenants and strategically curated Avalon’s bestin-
class, chef-driven restaurant mix. Upon stabilization, Atlantic Station and Avalon were sold for a combined profit of more than $350M.
Next, he served as vice president of Fuqua Development in Atlanta with a focus on The Battery Atlanta, a $2 billion mixed-use development orbiting around the Atlanta Braves’ new Truist Park. Most recently, Dotan led ground-up leasing for Columbia Development’s massive mixed-use destination in the North Carolina Triangle in Cary, NC, Fenton, a first-of-its-kind development in the state.
