About the Hyatt

The original 800-room Hyatt Regency building made its debut in 1967, marking a significant shift for Hyatt from a motel company to a prominent global hotel brand. Subsequently, two additional towers were constructed, adding 550 rooms, bringing the hotel’s total to 1,350 rooms.

Portman Holdings collaborated with Trammell Crow for the development of both phases of the hotel. This iconic establishment is credited with introducing the atrium concept to modern hotel design. Nestled in downtown Atlanta, it enjoys proximity to convention and trade show venues, as well as an array of retail outlets and restaurants.
