About Hilton San Diego

In collaboration with the Port Authority of San Diego, Phelps Development, Hilton, and ING Clarion, Portman Holdings spearheaded the development of this convention center hotel through a public-private partnership. Opening its doors in December 2008, it stands as the largest privately financed and owned convention center hotel in operation within the United States.

Notably, this project was recognized as one of the Real Estate Forum’s “Deals of the Year” in 2006. Situated on the picturesque San Diego Bay, the hotel enjoys a prime location adjacent to the Gaslamp District, Convention Center, and PETCO Park.
