Construction started in May of 2016, and concluded in September of 2018. The hotel has a signature restaurant and bar, Vistal, multi-level indoor/outdoor terraces and balconies, 23,000 square feet of ballrooms and meeting space, an outdoor pool, fitness center, spa, and rooftop bar. It sits atop 32,850 square feet of ground-level restaurants and shops along Broadway and Pacific Highway.
BRIC is part of the North Embarcadero Visionary Plan, located near the USS Midway Museum, Broadway Pier, and several regional transit options.
The InterContinental San Diego marks the return of the InterContinental brand to San Diego for the first time since 1987. The second phase of BRIC, Portman Holding’s hotel-centric, mixed-use development on San Diego’s waterfront, the 18-story hotel features 400 rooms, with 24 panoramic suites.
